I've been taking pictures for years with Brownie cameras, etc. The darkroom fascinated me, but always seemed to take so long. And then changing something took just as long or longer.
After a few years (and a history of washing my hands in gasoline after working on engines) I developed a bad reaction to almost all chemicals. So still took snapshots but no darkroom work.
Then when digital came about, it seemed like what I always wanted - take picture, check how it looks, take another. Plus the software to handle the other stuff so that my vision can finally be real.

Underlying it all is the continual seeking of beauty around us.

Photography - especially digital - offers the opportunity to capture the beauty of the moment to share with others. This is often challenging since what is viewed as beauty by one often differs from others - other perhaps than the classic sunset or beach or mountain scenes.

What about this? The light on this grass was hidden in the brush and weeds.

All photos are printed on archival quality paper with either a pro-level Epson printer or with a professional service.
